Ben, you must see this! CS 1.6 Beta build restored: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm0Dm...m0Dm7dhOSY
This makes playing CS 1.6 in WON possible, but we need some fixes. Would you try it?

Believe me, it's the same as what I've shown in the video (Just the models/maps are different). I hope you could make a fix for this.
Dammit, the video I've uploaded was blocked by "UMG" due to cs_italy music! So I made a quick demonstration here:
https://youtu.be/J_ADm31ifsk (It's uploading yet at the time I'm posting this, but it should be uploaded already until you see this Grin)

Look, yes it allows to play the game, but it doesn't work as expected, see in this video here: https://youtu.be/YPLdKmuJe3w
The 1.5 client.dll DOESN'T KNOW what is Galil, Famas and the Shield. So it doesn't provide a pleasant experience.
I've uploaded Counter-Life Beta 6 client.dll which includes weapon codes for Galil and Famas if you want to take some action:
https://www39.zippyshare.com/v/95Ua6a.../file.html
I hope you do something, you seem to know Half-Life coding well.

I see what you are saying now. basically just wanted a patched 1.5 dll to allow the famas, galil and shield?
if im not mistaken, those work with the dlls i sent.. what is the issue with using those dlls as opposed to using the 1.5 client.dll, maybe im not understanding correctly.

I know these DLLs, I have them, I think I got it from your old site (saw a post in reddit)
The problem is, there isn't the client.dll from March 2003 or earlier (the pack includes 1.5 client DLL)
That's why I'm asking patching the 1.6 client.dll to get it work with Famas and Galil sounds/slot/shield animations.
If you use 1.6 Game DLL and 1.5 Client DLL together it will work, but the buy menu will show 1.5 weapons only (but it will work like 1.6 menus) and Galil/Famas won't have sound/won't be selectable (unless you drop and take it again). When I look at the console (developer 2 activated) I see these messages when firing Galil or Famas:
Unknown event: events\galil.sc
Unknown event: events\famas.sc
Or something like that.

Counter-Life Beta 6's client.dll has the codes for Famas & Galil (as the mod was created for Half-Life it's weird all over place)
https://youtu.be/zzOWypjdyJ8
I can send the client.dll if you're interested. It's decrypted already.

yes i have it, i also have the retail dod version.

i almost used the dod engine for the nuwon hl patch, but decided against it because then there would be no difference between steam hl and nuwon hl; besides the nuwon engine being ALOT older.

here are the client and mp dll's
https://nuwon.net/downloads/cs16_czer...o_dlls.zip

and yes they do work with won hl, they both have csbot built into them also (i think it includes the bot custom voice chat too, if im not mistaken)

Do you know if he or you still have the files including client.dll? I'm trying to find the January 2003 version, I believe with that version's client.dll CS 1.6 will run in WON perfectly (because it was still based on WON back then, just the interface was different (see Day Of Defeat Retail). The VGUI2 update was done in June 5 2003 patch. (https://counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki....28beta.29) So any client dll from earlier than June 5 (January to March) should do the trick.

I didn't actually do it, WarF!y from WON2 actually managed to either find or grab the OLD 1.6 (back when steam and WON where still interchangeable, 2002-2003) dll. That specific 1.6 version was built for the old pre-steam half-life engine because at that point steam was just a seperate client for installing hl and its mods and not actually used for server browsing or anything like that.

I saw the thread here
https://hlfx.ru/forum/printthread.php...eadid=4277
It made me suspicious when I saw "Ben" and "WON" together. It must be you! I want to ask something:
If you were able to do this, then why you didn't try to edit CS 1.6's client.dll to make it work on 1.5! I mean taking the weapon codes (famas and galil) from 1.6 and importing them to 1.5. I want to help but I don't know anything about it. I'm also trying to recreate January 15 2003 beta of CS 1.6 which can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZFsT...ZFsTKgljEk
Can you try making 1.5 compatible with new weapons and the shield?
